About the BCS
who we are & what we do
Who we are and where we’re headed
The Bildung Climate School was founded in 2024 by Ginie Servant-Miklos, building upon the educational vision outlined in her book Pedagogies of Collapse, and Rutger Engels. The school was established as a partnership between Erasmus School of Social and Behavioural Sciences and Albeda MBO.
After two successful extra-curricular pilots in Spring 2024 and 2025 graduating 46 students, we were joined in Fall 2025 by HogeschoolInHolland, moving forward with a third extra-curricular pilot in Spring 2026, and the first full time credited 10-week program in Fall 2026.
The BCS is brought to life by a diverse team of MBO, HBO, WO and education professionals, led by Ginie Servant-Miklos. Together, we are working towards the first full-time six-month credited MBO-HBO-WO program by 2027.
